I have combined my background in science, anatomy, physiology with a lifelong practice of yoga, meditation, interest in shamanic practice and awe in the magic of life! My movement practice evolved through dynamic Ashtanga to taking a more embodied approach. I developed an interest in this and embarked on further study of Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen's work into embodied practices, and decided to take this into Yoga Teacher Training. This then led to training in Somatic Movement (Nervous System Regulation-IOAS, with Andrea Traldi) helping clients move through habitual patterns and discover agency. I studied Mechanics of Breath with Susi Hately, Yoga Therapist, and then, after experiencing pelvic floor issues myself, discovered the far reaching benefits of the Hypopressive Method and subsequently undertook Level 1 training.
For the TMJ, I apply a unique perspective from ten years as a Dentist, with my body work skills and Trigger Point Release, to address this issue from a full body approach.
